After a few years of superheroes (ninja turtles, Batman, Spiderman, Iron Man…), the boys both decided to go for a throwback year. Alex went with a simple “devil” costume, while Evan decided on Count Dracula (not just any old vampire, mind you). Alex was going to paint his face to round out the look, but decided that the paint was too annoying. They definitely have the routine down. We met up with a couple of friends from school, and it turned into a hectic spring from house to house. Twice, the kids decided that since no one had answered within 10 seconds of ringing the doorbell that no one must be home, and ran off to the next house just before the door opened. Chalk it up to optimizing candy count.
