I don’t have much to say in terms of an update. We just had a nice summer-y weekend. We went to the outdoor pool for the first time. This was also our first time swimming since Alex had his tubes in, so it’s been a few months. The boys had gotten a little rusty on their swimming skills, but Evan saw all the girls swimming and he fell right in line!
Some of you know that I have been drooling over new cameras for a while now. I finally took the plunge. While I scaled back from my original dream of a 5D, I ended up with the still huge upgrade 60D. That should at least serve me a year or two until the full frame cameras come down a bit in price. Some of the pictures below are must me tinkering with the new camera.
Another goofy purchase this past weekend was a “set” of golf clubs for Evan. He’s been asking me to take him golfing (of course, he has no idea what that means), so we thought we’d let him have a little kids set to see what he can do. He needs to work a little on his control, but as with everything else he tries, he was picking it up quickly. There’ll be a Waters foursome on the course before you know it!
We have another gaggle of visitors coming this weekend. The whole Martens clan, along with Uncle Jamie and Aunt Emily, will be staying the weekend up in Estes Park. This will involve another handful of first for the boys, so I’m sure there will be many more pictures to come!
