We had a nice, if quiet, Christmas this year. It started Christmas Eve with what has now become the traditional making of fresh cookies for Santa. The boys both make sure he gets plenty of frosting to keep him fed through the night! The anticipation was just too much after that, so we let the boys open a couple of presents before going to bed, just to take the edge off. Of course, Christmas morning was a blur, with the boys running around at lightning speed. Everyone got plenty of presents that they truly enjoyed. We didn’t get the “oh, no – a shirt!” type of response this year, although I have to say the ski helmets came pretty close to the bottom of the interest list.
