We made the trek up to the Mount Zirkel Wilderness area near the Colorado/Wyoming border.  We hiked in along the West Fork drainage planning to go to West Fork Lake.  We ended up stopping near some beaver ponds and what looked to be a nice little meadow in hopes of spotting some wildlife.

Well, no luck on the wildlife, but we did find plenty of mosquitos.  For a while there, we actually thought we were back in Minnesota.  Yep, they were that thick.  We ended up leaving early on Sunday morning because poor Bacchus was getting eaten alive!
