It was a beautiful summer weekend. Now that school has started, we can’t get out for the big trips anymore, but we went for a hike in the Mount Evan’s wilderness area just west of town. We also happened to see a B29 flying overhead, and learned that there was an exhibit at the Front Range Airport in Arvada. We got to see a P51 take off (unfortunately, not with the Merlin engine), and tour through one of only two flying B29s, the “Fifi”.
