Some friends invited us to the Douglas County Fair. It’s the first time any of us had been to a county fair in a long, long time. Not much has changed, including the rides! We toured the livestock pavilions, and came across someone giving away a bunny to a good home. The boys took turns holding it, but no, we did not walk away with a bunny. Our friends may not have been so lucky! We tried a few of the rides, including the super slide and bouncy house, and sampled some of the traditional fair grounds junk food.
Sounds a lot like the Jackson or Cottonwood County fairs! Probably brought back memories of “those good old days”!!
